Hi! Just to let you know that I've scheduled my LASIK surgery for this Thursday. I've already had my eye examination in preparation for this surgery. I will have another pre-examination right before the surgery.

After attending their seminar, I felt very comfortable in my selection. All my questions were answered very much to my satisfaction.

It is now 4 days since I had the LASIK surgery performed and I am extremely happy!!!

The day after my surgery my post op examination revealed that my vision in my right eye was 20/20 and in my left eye 20/25.

The only pain I experienced was when the doctor inserted the apparatus to widen my left eye. There was no pain in my right eye. The reason there was pain in my left eye was because the Dr. Johnson said he had to widen that eye more than he did my right eye. Sure, there was discomfort in my left eye afterwards, but after getting my prescription filled and taking the sleeping pill they prescribed and eating supper, I went straight to bed. The next morning there was no discomfort or pain. There was still a little bit of swelling, though...just a little bit. But, no pain!

My husband and my two small daughters witnessed the whole procedure via a monitor in the reception room. Even after viewing that, my husband still wants to have his eyes done.

My family is really amazed that I don't have to wear contacts or glasses anymore. Infact, I have some cousins in Pensacola that want to have this procedure done on them after talking to me. They definitely want it done!! Well, I definitely recommend it!

But, anyway, I am so very happy and pleased with the outcome. I think my vision has even improved in my left eye since last Friday. I will know for sure this Friday as I have another examination that day.

Hi! I just wanted to let you know how I've been progressing.

I had my week's examination last Friday, Nov. the 7th. My vision in my left eye has improved from 20/25 to 20/20. I am now 20/20 in both eyes. I already noticed improvement in that eye three days after surgery. So, I was right!!

I am really happy with this outcome. I'm so glad that I did not have to have an enhancement done. A gentleman that was ahead of me on the day of surgery was in for an enhancement in his left eye. He had quite a bit of astigmatism, though, so maybe that was the reason he had to have this enhancement. Since I don't have any astigmatism in either eyes, that probably played a big part in the success of my surgery.

I don't have to be back for another examination until the first part of December. Everything is going real well with me and I don't anticipate any problems. I am being extremely careful with my eyes. Only two more nights of having to wear the eye shields and two more days until I can wear make-up!!! Yippeeeee!!!

By the way, my sister in Houston is having this LASIK procedure done on the 21st. Her eyesight is worse than mine and she has some astigmatism, so she hopes that she has the same success that I had!

I am now able to wear make-up and have been for just a little over a week. I am being extremely careful in removing the make-up as I do not want to rub my eyes...whatsoever! But, my eyes are doing great! I've told just about everyone that I know that I had this LASIK procedure done and they are really amazed that I do not have to wear corrective lenses anymore! The ones that are wearing corrective lenses are now considering LASIK surgery, too! I hope they do as it is just wonderful to be able to wake up in the morning and see without having to put on glasses. And that goes for taking a shower or bath, too!

Today, my sister in Houston is having this procedure done. She will be very pleased with the outcome, I'm sure!
